Kuzu Zangpo la in Dzongkha (Bhutan’s Official Language) means “Hello”. This tour will have overall duration of 6 nights and 7 days. It will cover four western districts of Bhutan, that includes, Paro, Thimphu, Punakha and Wangduephodrang.

Day 01: Arrive Paro
Fly to Paro, Bhutan, on Druk Air, national airline of Bhutan. Flight into Bhutan provides spectacular view of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest (of Nepal) and other famous Himalayan peaks, the Mt. Jumolhari and Mt Jichu Drake of Bhutan. On arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be received by representatives of Bhutan Travel Connection and escort you to the Hotel. Later, you will be taken to visit Bhutan National Museum, fascinating place housed watchtower in a round fortress called Ta Dzong above the huge Paro Dzong. This will be followed by visit to Rinpung Dzong – regional administrative and religious centre, visit Kyichu temple which was believe to be build in 7 46 AD. In the evening, stroll around the township of Paro. Overnight at hotel Paro.
Day 02: Paro
Drive to north of the valley and embark on a short trek to Taktsang Monastery (Popularly known as Tiger’s Nest). For the Bhutanese or Buddhist, it is a secret pilgrimage site for the Buddhist World. The Taktsang monastery clings, on seemingly impossible sheer, vertical cliff at 9680ft. The steep uphill hike to Taktsang, take between 2 hours. (Ponies are provided on request to ride up till the tea house). And drive to Drukgyal Dzong (the victory fortress) which is now in ruins. It is about 16 Kms away from Paro town. On a clear day one can get a breath-taking view of Mt. Jhomolhari while you drive to Drukgyal Dzong 17 th century.
Late afternoon- visit farm house. Overnight at hotel Paro.
Day 03: Paro – Thimphu
Drive from Paro to Thimphu (Capital of Bhutan), will take around 2 hours and a Capital city with an estimated population of 70,000 people. Check in and after lunch at hotel, start the tour of Thimphu with the visit to the Memorial Chorten, dedicated to late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk build in 1974 by Ashi phuntso choden, Painting School (school of Arts & Crafts) It is national institute where children attend six- years course that provides instruction in Bhutan’s traditional arts and crafts called Zorig Chuksum- meaning 13 crafts. National Library, Tashichho Dzong. This fortress serves as the office of the king, ministers and various government organizations. It is also the headquarter for central monastic body of Bhutan and also summer residence of monk body. Folk heritage museum, housed in a traditional home displays the living style of the Bhutanese family in 19 th century. Visit Zoo to see national animal of Bhutan golden takin has been chosen as the national animal of Bhutan is based both on its uniqueness and its association with country’s and mythology. It like a cow from back and goat in the front and continues to befuddle taxonomists, who cannot quite relate to other animal. Evening free time to stroll around Thimphu town. Overnight at hotel Thimphu.
Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha
Drive from Thimphu to Punakha will take around 3 hours. Stop at Dochula Pass (3050 meters above sea level) to get a fine view of the Himalayan range if weather permits. Afternoon – Visit Punakha Dzong builds in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngwang Namgyel and also winter residence of the monk body for 6 months. It is one of the most beautiful Dzong in Bhutan and also ancient capital of Bhutan. If time permits, visit Chimmi Lhakhang (short walk of about half an hour through paddy fields to get to Chimmi Lhakhang -Monastery dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kinley, Divine Mad man). Evening free time for walk and overnight at hotel Punakha.
Day 05: Punakha – Thimphu
Drive back to Thimphu En-Route Visit Wangdi Phodrang Dzong on the way to Thimphu. Afternoon visit Institute of Indigenous Hospital or National Medicine is government funded institute that facilitates research of traditional medicine and practices. Handmade Paper factory and it is traditional papers were made from the daphne plant, using simple methods. Visit handicraft Emporium to see our textile. Evening – free time for strolling through the town. Overnight at hotel Thimphu.
Day 06: Thimphu – Paro
BTC can arrange a performance of mask dances and folk dances at The Royal Academy of Performing Arts if the group has more than 9 people, and if the group consists of less than 9, the payment for the dances will have to be borne by the tourists themselves. This special performance is only offered during the non-festival season. Evening – drive to Paro overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Departure
Early breakfast at hotel and drive to Paro Airport. Your Bhutan Travel Connection representative will see you off at the airport.

Tour payment must be sent four weeks prior to date of arrival in Bhutan. The visa is issued by the Government of Bhutan subject to advance payment only.

Accommodation will be in tourist hotels on a full board basis throughout the tour.( with exception of the drinks) entrée fees, airport and tour transportation will be included as well as a qualified English speaking guide accompanying you during the whole duration of the tour. In case another speaking guide will be needed a surcharge will be applicable.
