TOURIST INFORMATION
Tariff
& Payment Procedures
The daily tariff for the tourist visiting in a group of 4 or
more is as follows:
Cultural tours: US$ 200
Trek: US$ 200
The rates given above are for one tourist per night halt in
Bhutan.
The rates are inclusive of following service:
1. Accommodation on twin sharing basis
2. Transfer and sightseeing within Bhutan
3. Meals
4. Guide
5. Porters & Ponies wherever required
6. Royalty and taxes to the Government
Tariff for individuals and small groups (FITs) of less than 4
persons shall be subjected to surcharge, over and above the
daily rates applicable, as follows:
SINGLE INDIVIDUAL : US$ 40 per night
GROUP OF TWO PERSON : US$ 30 per night per person
GROUP OF THREE PERSON : US$ 20 per night per person
Discount of Tourist Tariff as follows:
1. There shall be no charge for children up to the age of 5 years.
However those between the age of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders
/ guidance shall be give 50% discount on rates.
2. Full time students below the age of 25 years holding valid
Identity cards from their Institutes shall be given 25% discount on
rates.
3. A 50% discount on rates shall be given to 1 person in a group of
11-15 people. 100 % discount on rates shall be given to 1 member in
a group exceeding 16 persons.
Payment Procedures:
Tour payment must be sent four weeks prior to date of arrival in
Bhutan. The visa is issued by the Government of Bhutan subject to
advance payment only.
Once the trip is confirmed we will send you the instructions for
making payment.
BHUTAN
VISA
VISAS are a must for all visitors to Bhutan. Tourist visa
to Bhutan will not be granted by any foreign missions or Embassies.
BTC will provide services of arranging and processing visas with the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Goverment will however sanction the
VISA only after receipt of full payment in advance. The VISA fee is
US $20, and can be extended with an additional fee of US $15.
Visa fee should be paid along with the tour payment. On arrival at
Paro International Airport, the actual Bhutan VISA will be stamped
in your passport.
Tourists entering Bhutan by road via Phuntsholing, border town in
the southern Bhutan, the Visa is stamped on arrival and Visa
Clearance Number is forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in
Thimphu. You are required to carry two passport size photographs for
your VISA.
Processing Visas in Bhutan takes a minimum of three weeks. Therefore
the VISA applications must reach Bhutan at least three weeks prior
to your arrival date.

Tour Escorts
All BTC tours are escorted by qualified, well-trained guides,
certified & licensed by Bhutan Tourism Authority. BTC guides can
speak English and also Japanese. The services of French, German,
Spanish and Italian speaking guides could also be availed with prior
information and additional cost.
Accommodation
Comfortable hotels and guest houses are available at all tourist
destinations. BTC also has good links with popular hotel operators
throughout the Country. So BTC can provide accommodation with the
best of location and services.
On treks, BTC provides camping out under the clear night skies. No
matter where you spend the night, the warm Bhutanese hospitality
will make you feel cozy and comfortable.
Food
Bhutanese delicacies mostly comprise of spicy chilies and cheese.
Hotels selected by BTC for our guests offer delicious Bhutanese,
continental, Chinese and Indian cuisine.
Even on trek the BTC has trained cooks who can prepare dishes
suitable to western taste ranging from continental to Chinese,
Indian to Bhutanese.
Transport
BTC can provide modern transport facilities viz. Toyota & Hyundai
vehicles like Cars, Tucson, Hiace Buses, Coaster buses, Hilux and
Land Cruisers.
Our drivers are also well trained and licensed by Road Safety and
