Day 01: Guwahati – Samdrup Jonjkhar
Drop off by agent from India (Vacations) coming from Guwahati Meet clients by Samdrup jongkhar and you will be received by representatives of Bhutan Travel Connection and escort you to the Hotel.

Day 02: Samdrup Jonjkhar – Trashigang
After breakfast drive to Trashigang from Samdrup Jongkhar about 6 and 1/2 hrs (180 Km) approximately via Narphung La and En-route visit Khaling Textile Weaving Centre.

Day 03: Attain Trashigang Festival
Full day festival and visit Trashigang Dzong

Tsechus is a religious festival held annually by most Dzongs and monasteries. The religious festival is homage to Guru Rimpoche, who introduces Buddhism to Bhutan. The dances (most of which are performed by monks and lay men) bring blessing on the onlookers as well as instructing them about the Buddhist dharma.

Day 04: Day excursion to Tashi Yangtse
53 Kilometers from Trashigang is the beautiful valley of Trashiyangtse. Today you will visit Trashi Yangtse, which is a small, pretty town. The people are known for making wooden bowls and containers, which are said to be best in Bhutan. Just below the town is the Chorten Kora. Along the way to Tashi Yangtse you will stop at the Gom Kora temple, behind which is a large black rock. It is said that Guru Rimpoche meditated in the cave in rock and that you can see the impression of his thumb, his hat, and his body on the rock. You will also en-route visit the National Institute for Zorig Chusum and also visit Dzong of Tashiyangte and explore in the town.

Day 05: Trashigang – Mongar
After breakfast drive to Mongar about 4 hrs (90km) approximately En-route visit Dramitse monastery (which means the peaks where there is no enemy). There are about 60 gomchens (married Nyingma monk) here. The monastery was founded by the great granddaughter of Pema Lingpa, Ani Chhoten Zangmo in 1511. It is also one of biggest and the most important Nyingmapa Monastery in Eastern Bhutan. From there you will have great views of valley and you can see the college at Kanglung. Dramitse Ngachham was originated from here and now it is very famous sacred dance in Bhutan. Lunch will be served at Dramtise (picnic lunch). After lunch continue drive to Mongar over the Kori La (2,450m) (2n).

Day 06: Day excursion to Lhuntshi (2,200m/7,218ft)
3 hrs drive one way (76km) pass by the villages and visit Lhuntshi Dzong, make short hike to Khoma village which is famous for Kushuthara textile or finely designed pattern textiles and also other kinds of textiles. Then we will drive back to Mongar. Pack lunch will served at a picnic spot while in route.

Day 07: Mongar – Trashigang
Trashigang is 92 kilometers from Mongar, a four hours drive. Tashigang dzong is built high on the cliff above the confluence of two rivers. Evening free time to stroll around Trashigang town.

Day 08: Trashigang–Samdrupjongkhar
180 kilometers from Tashigang towards south will take you to a place called Samdrupjongkhar. This place situated at the bottom of the foothills is on the boarder with the Indian state of Assam.

Day 09: Departure
Our representative from Bhutan Travel Connection will see you off at the Samdrup Jonjkhar and hand over to India agent airport to leave Guwahati (Assam, India) to catch your flight.

Payment Procedures:
Tour payment must be sent four weeks prior to date of arrival in Bhutan. The visa is issued by the Government of Bhutan subject to advance payment only.

Once the trip is confirmed we will send you the instructions for making payment.

Above mentioned rates are applicable to change without prior notice. The above mentioned packages are LAND ONLY but will include a daily itinerary, all Bhutanese Government Visa Fees, Taxes and Royalty. Accommodation will be in tourist hotels on a full board basis throughout the tour.( with exception of the drinks) entrée fees, airport and tour transportation will be included as well as a qualified English speaking guide accompanying you during the whole duration of the tour. In case another speaking guide will be needed a surcharge will be applicable.
